Since 1939, Barbizon has been teaching young people the art of modeling and acting. Over the years, there have been a lot of claims, questions and sure even some complaints. We can tell you, that through all of this, Barbizon is the #1 modeling and acting school of it's kind because of one thing, our hundreds of thousands of graduates.

Recently, Barbizon recommitted ourselves to customer service, to add to our already extensive list of happy parents and graduates. And furthermore, we decided to address some of the claims and questions. There are a number of ways to get started in the modeling and acting world, and we appreciate each student who has come through the doors of Barbizon. The following information addresses the claims, questions, and is quite frankly the truth, about why Barbizon's been around since 1939.

CLAIM:
You don’t have to go to a school like Barbizon to become a model.

FACT:
True. You don't. But it makes it a little easier. This is one of the most competitive industries in existence. And the fact of the matter is that sure you could send your photos over to the top agencies and your resume, and you might even get noticed, but it’s rare. Most of the top agencies get thousands of photos, resumes, portfolios and applications a day. And most of them will not take an appointment.

CLAIM:
I don’t want to go to Barbizon because I saw some things on Internet complaint sites.

FACT:
Go to pissedconsumer.com or ripoffreport.com and search the following companies Johnson & Johnson, Kraft Foods, Kellogg, The Walt Disney Co., PepsiCo., SaraLee, Google, Microsoft, UPS and Dean Foods. These companies are listed as Forbes 2010 Most Trustworthy Companies and you will find a complaint or scam accusation on each one of them.

Unfortunately, anyone can write anything on the Internet - even our competitors. The fact is Barbizon has been around for over 70 years, and while we are not perfect, we have stayed in business for nearly a century because we care about our students, graduates and their families and we promise to work hard to provide you the best experience possible.
